Officially called the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, (اِسلامی جمہوریہ پاکِستان), is a country in South Asia emerged on the world map as an independent sovereign state in August 1947, as a result of the division of the British Indian Empire. With a land area of 796,095 sq. km. Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948) is Father of the Nation and Allama Muhammad Iqbal (1877-1938) is the National Poet. Administrative Setup of Pakistan is divided into four provinces viz., Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan. Urdu, the national language, is spoken throughout Pakistan, English is extensively used in official and commercial circles, and in the cities. According to Pakistan Social And Living Standards Measurement (PSLM) 2019-20 literacy rate of Pakistan is 62.3% which mean that an estimated population of 60 million is illiterate in the country.
