Out of total 3000 scholarships given on open merit around 2400 are for Undergraduates while 600 are for Post graduate male and female students. He said that these scholarships were being awarded to Afghan students as a goodwill gesture and as part of nation building in the neighbouring country. "We have same culture and religion and we are brotherly countries having relations going back decades"

Mr. Asif Durrani reflected on the significant impact of the past, where many Afghan alumni who pursued higher education opportunities in Pakistan are now actively contributing to various sectors in Afghanistan. He extended his congratulations to the Afghan graduates and expressed hope that their return to Afghanistan would enable them to serve their nation effectively and take on diverse responsibilities. He stressed that the knowledge and expertise these individuals acquired will not only enlighten their families but will also foster informed decision-making in their professional and personal lives. He emphasized the importance of an educated society in facilitating societal development. Mr. Durrani concluded by emphasizing the symbiotic relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan, underscoring the cherished bond that exists between the two countries and the positive impact it will have on their shared future.

The document evaluation process for the second round of the third phase of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Program has been completed. This year, 25,000 students enrolled for the 4,500 available scholarships. Due to the large volume of applications, the evaluation process took nearly two months to ensure accuracy and fairness.
We will share further details about the upcoming interview process and the list of shortlisted candidates in the coming days.
